Why Printing At A Pro Lab Is So Important

Wedding Tips

June 28, 2018

Let me start by saying that I know this like a really obvious thing for a photographer to say, but being a photographer, obviously I know a little something about photos and photo quality. It is my area of expertise after all, and that’s why I feel the need to start this very important discussion with you.

You’re engaged, you’re excited, you go through this entire planning process and spend tens of thousands of dollars, wedding day turns out beautifully and after a few short weeks of enjoying married life, you getting those gorgeous wedding photos back that you’ve been pining for, so you can relive it all over again. They’re better than you ever dreamed, and you’re so excited. So what do you do? Well, you want them printed, of course!

So here’s what you don’t do: Get them printed at low quality photo lab. I see it all the time…Walgreens, Costco, Walmart, and the list goes on. Sure, it’s cheaper, but have you ever heard the expression “you get what you pay for”? It couldn’t possibly be truer than it is with this. You’re paying less money because you’re getting way less quality. It doesn’t matter if you’re ordering a small print or a big canvas, it will absolutely not be the same as if you had it printed in a pro lab.

Think abut it this way: why did you spend so much money on that photographer you adore if you weren’t going to fully enjoy their work? They put hours of hard work into getting every angle, every detail, and all the lighting perfect so that you would have perfectly curated photos to remind you of your special day. If you truly value their work and you want to see your photos in the best possible quality, then printing with a pro lab is the only way to go. Ask your photographer about it!
